Fitness is a Vibe - read about the what and why... 

My name is Kristina Caruso and I am the owner and founder of The Fit Vibe. The urge to stay active and keep moving through exercise and fitness has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I began playing soccer at age 4 and by age 12 I was traveling around the country playing advanced teams and competing at the Olympic Development level. I received two scholarship offers to join college teams in the Northeast, but chose to begin my early adulthood down south in the Carolinas . It was unknown if I had a future with the sport. I intended to tryout as a walk on for the UNC Charlotte women's soccer team, but realized that I was ready for something more than the all-consuming time commitment a college sport could be.  

My sophomore year of college, after a year without consistent fitness activity, I felt the itch to get back into exercise and was looking for a challenge. I began frequenting my college apartment gym and eventually joined my college fitness center. For the next 3 years and on, I grew my knowledge around independent fitness & training in areas such as strength training, HIIT, different levels of cardio, cross-training and group fitness.  My enjoyment for constant body movement heightened and I carried this passion into my adulthood.

I am now a certified Personal Trainer through the International Sports Science Association (ISSA). I have continued expanding my exposure and experience with different levels of fitness and exercise over the last eight years and continue to feel the exhilaration and joy every day as I see my body challenged. That feeling has been contagious ever since and is something I hope to never give up.

What the "vibe" means for me...

The word "vibe" is defined as a distinctive feeling or quality capable of being sensed; a person's emotional state or the atmosphere of a place as communicated to and felt by others. I see this as it relates to the fitness world. Body movement and exercise are all about how they make you feel: how they change you, challenge you, and strengthen you.  The Fit Vibe is all about promoting that feeling as it pertains to each and every individual. Through my program, I hope you find confidence working through every exercise while feeling the positivity and support of this community we are growing.
